Here's the story of how I got to visit the set of TV's Z NATION. My friend Misty Wood won a Charity Buzz auction for the chance to be a "Z" on Z NATION. As a winner, she was able to invite three friends to come along with her for a three day visit to the set. So her husband Chris came along, she invite her best friend Shannon, and she invited me since she knew that I love the show as much as she and Shannon. So we get there the day before, it's fun to take multiple plane trips to get to Spokane, WA. Especially since I was only on a plane once before, 20 years ago. I spend that Tuesday July 19th with my Facebook buddy Mitch Tiner and his lovely wife Christine. Misty and everyone else get in very late that night. I go to sleep before they get in and in the morning we wake up early for the show's 6:30 call time. We get there, meet lots of the extras that will be used that day and we see Russell Hodgkinson who plays "Doc", we also see Anastasia Baranova who plays "Addy". We hear that Nat Zang who plays "10k" is near, but we don't see him, he ends up filming on the second unit. It turns out that Misty will be playing a survivor on the episode being filmed for the first two days and then a "Z" on the final day that we will be there. This episode ended up being Episode 8 of Season 3 titled "Election Day" We also met several other actors appearing in the episode. We met Doug Dawson who plays "Skeezy" and we met Mark Carr who plays "Sketchy". They were the nicest guys ever. Not only are they extremely funny on the show, but they are really nice guys. We also met many other actors appearing in the episode and we started to learn about how a TV show is put together. These are the pics from our first day there on the set. I hope you enjoy them.
